Dec. 18th, 2003 08:36 pmI apologize if I gave anyone a headache, but in the circumstances, I felt an alert was appropriate.
I can sense that we'll need to practise our drills a lot more in the future. When you hear an alert, that is not the time to go running to the kitchen to find your sister, your boyfriend, your best friend or your stupid damned laptop. When you hear a shelter alert, you head towards the internal shelter areas. When you hear an evacuation alert, you head towards the external muster points. There are absolutely no exceptions.
Now, if anyone needs me, I shall be in the gymnasium showers, scrubbing this infernal charcoal off my veneer. Black is not my color.
I shall certainly need to go clothes shopping in New York this weekend. Let me know who else is coming, and I'll arrange transport and make appointments with the personal shoppers.
